Patty Reed's Scotty Dog Scarf

(Click on image for enlarged view.)

Purchase 18” of Patty Reed’s Scotty Dog Fleece and 1/4 Yard Solid Black Fleece.

Center fabric so that two dogs and 1/2 of a heart is on each side of the dogs. Mark and cut a straight line from selvedge to selvedge. The width should be 12”.

Cut the white selvage from the bottom and top of the scarf making sure not to leave any white along the edges. (The border from the bottom of the Scotty Dog feet to the edge of the scarf should be approximately four (4) inches.)

Using a ruler, draw a line every 1/2” along the bottom edges (approximately 24 lines). Cut along each marked line to just below the Scotty’s feet. This will produce the fringe.

Using the Patty’s Petals flower template, cut 50 flowers out of the solid black fleece. Click Here To Download Template.

Fold the black fleece flower in half and clip a very small opening to pull the fringe thru. (Approximately a 1/8” hole.)

Thread the flower on the fringe and tie a knot to hold the flower on the edge of the fringe. Be careful to not pull the knot too tight or the flower will slip thru. Congratulations! You Have Completed Your Scarf.
