Gretchen Hirsch

Gretchen Hirsch: Creator of “Gertie by Gretchen Hirsch”

Blogger, author, and teacher, Gretchen “Gertie” Hirsch describes herself as a sewing enthusiast with a love of all things retro. She currently lives in Beacon, New York and enjoys spending her time teaching others about the wonderful world of sewing both in the classroom and on the web. Gretchen’s Butterick patterns make use of her intricate sewing techniques involving both tailoring and corsetry.

Gretchen has been featured in the PBS series It’s Sew Easy, and has found great success through her blog titled “Gertie’s New Blog for Better Sewing.” Gretchen put these experiences to use as she created her premier fabric collection inspired by her unique sensibility. 

 

Kathy Davis

Kathy Davis: Founder of Kathy Davis Studios

Kathy Davis’ motto: “Creating a Life You Love’ is something I believe in for each and every one of us.” Kathy Davis has become famous for her heart-warming greeting cards. Each year she creates over 1,000 new and original greeting cards, each one inspired by an aspect of her own life.

Her studio is responsible for many different types of products in many fields ranging from copywriting, messaging, art, design, and product development. But even though the products may differ the overall inspiration remains the same. By drawing on inspiration from both color and nature, Kathy’s work spreads joy to all who see it.

Kathy’s first fabric collection for Fabric Traditions will debut Spring 2015

Patty Reed: Founder of Patty Reed and Associates

Creator of the hugely popular fabric and design company known as Daisy Kingdom, Patty Reed garnered a worldwide following of seamstresses and crafters. Then, after selling the company in the mid ‘90s she formed Patty Reed & Associates in hopes of captivating even more people across the world with her amazing designs.

Together with a talented team of artists and designers Patty is able to make new and amazing designs available to home sewers. Patty and her team strive to bring only the best to her customers and they plan to continue doing so for years to come!

 Ciao Lei

Ciao Lei: Design Director for Fabric Traditions

Even as a young girl Ciao Lei loved to draw and create beautiful art whenever she could. As she grew older her love of art grew even more, eventually leading her to graduate from the Parsons School of Design with a degree in illustration. Even after graduation Ciao made sure to continue learning all she could about art history due to her love of all things art.

Ciao has worked to top licensed brands and has experience in both web and textile design. She draws inspiration by both seeing and experiencing other cultures. Ciao’s unique fabric designs are a result of her fresh, new, and updated looks on traditional designs.
